I see posts about JNU students being asked to “JUST STUDY” and get home. If we do that we would become like Chinese students who turn out to be hard working zombies who follow orders. For India to leapfrog into the next wave of growth, we need you – DISRUPTORS.

To be innovators of the future our students NEED to disrupt, our students NEED to question status quo, our students may NEED to end up in jail. Because we need the innovators and thinkers of the future and NOT zombies who just drink the KoolAid irrespective of the manufacturer of the KoolAid.

When my consulting firm interviews candidates we are not looking for zombies with high grades at school, we are looking for disruptors who can innovate and come up with ideas like the next Iphone or Uber. A zombie used to a life of putting up with status quo is the last thing we are looking for.

We are looking for leaders and these days we are looking more and more for leaders who can disrupt their way to innovation. So JNU students, keep your creative juices flowing as you DIISRUPT status quo. Zombies will finally follow your lead.

After attending Ivy League and international business schools, I can tell you that the skills you get on the street, especially in India CANNOT be taught at any MBA program. LIVE the life, but try and come out ALIVE.
