Holy Cows? 90% of the new voters voted for jobs, some voted for change, because they were sick and tired of the Congress. For some others it was the opportunity to go back to a time where upper castes could walkover the others with impunity. NRIs flew back to vote so that they could brag to their white neighbors that they come from a “superpower country”, and just happen to be living abroad giving up their Raama Raajya, because they could. Some fell for a Gujarat model “development “without realizing that that 45% of Gujarat still shits in public places. But overall when Modi was running, the message was that of economic prosperity, ache din. The reality is that ONE in THREE graduates under the age of 35 is unemployed. The reality is that lynching of opponents sponsored by NRI money is not a full-time job... though it depends on who you ask The reality is that locking up students on vague British inventions like sedition does not help your cause.
