Because it is much more than just Kejriwal this time, much more is at stake.

The election is the validation of a model, an experiment in disruption of the Indian political model, a pilot project of sorts.

 It is extremely important for India and its political parties to see that that a development centric model that (actually delivers and does not remain a jhumla) will be reelected. Performance and accountability will increase across the board.

The people of the country need to be convinced that corruption free governments can exist in India and will work in their favor. AAP model illustrates that citizens can reject caste/religious polarizations and react to a positive bread and butter message.

It will send a message to the rest of the country this successful prototype can be replicated in other states.

India is at an inflection point, we could choose to slip further into a feudal caste/religion based downward spiral or make the leap to progress by replicating the AAP model.

This Delhi election results could therefore redefine the future direction of Indian politics.
