Will Americans support ISIS or RSS funded candidates?

Many of us fled from organizations like ISIS and RSS in the Indian sub-continent. Having experienced the dangers posed to humanity by these organizations, we are the first cry foul when we see these organizations right in our backyards in US.

For that very reason, we want our representatives (be it Republican or Democrat) to uphold American values, not medieval religious fundamentalism!!!

Alleged funding from RSS appears to be the death knell for Indian American politicians. Tulsi Gabbard, and now Sri Preston Kulkarni seem to be facing the music over alleged financial support from RSS/HSS.

For the un-initiated, what is RSS? For starters, RSS is the organization that was responsible for the murder of Mahatma Gandhi. RSS was banned in India as result. These days RSS affiliates in various names are responsible for lynching minorities in India on a regular basis.

Among other recent “achievements” are the burning of Graham Staines, an Australian missionary in India and his children, the murder of over a thousand Muslims in Gujarat (due to which Narendra Modi, the current Prime Minster of India was denied entry to the US until he was elected Prime Minister) most recently the riots in New Delhi, when President Trump was visiting India and the lockdown of Kashmir, an entire state of 12 million people for over a year. The Prime Minister of India Mr. Modi is an RSS member and so are many Indian Americans.

Now the PR machinery would try to portray RSS as a voluntary organization that feeds the poor, and the HSS the international arm as another charity etc. But if ISIS open up a charity wing, does it absolve itself of all the murder and mayhem?

Why should America worry about this? The link below explains how this fundamentalist organization operates and raises funds to sponsor terror in India and influence US politics.

There are several Indian American politicians in the US, and the most successful of them so far is Kamala Harris.  If things go well, she may one day be the first female President of the US.

One could argue that Tulsi and Sri had no relationship with RSS or its international version the HSS. Well then one would wonder why only these politicians are facing the Hindutva funding allegations.

Recent reports by journalists such as Pieter Friedrich paint a different picture, by following the money trail.

Could it be because Tulsi and Sri are unable to denounce these organizations and the roles these organizations play in the massacre of Christians and Muslims and Dalits ( untouchables) in India?

Shouldn’t progressive Democrats like Sri and Tulsi be out in the front condemning human rights violation in India or for that matter anywhere in the world? (which Kamal Harris and other prominent Indian American politicians have done)

I am yet to see a public statement from Sri or Tulsi denouncing the same.

So something seems to be amiss here. Can there be no smoke without fire???

If American voters cannot support a candidate funded by ISIS, I don’t think they can support a candidate funded by another fundamentalist organization like RSS either. They have shown Tulsi the door for her duplicity.

Maybe Sri can come clean to publicly denounce the RSS/HSS etc and also publish his funding sources?

Otherwise a lot of Democrats may vote for his opponent and also damage the progressive image of Democratic Party.
